The Taft Union High School Hall of Fame was created to honor those individuals who bring honor and distinction to the school district and to present those models of life success to its students.  The Hall of Fame was the brainchild of late TUHS Board Member Stan Barrett.  He presented the idea to his fellow Board Members, a committee was formed to handle the work, and the TUHS Hall of Fame was born.

The first Banquet and Induction ceremony was held in 2007.  Between 2007 and 2022, there have been 91 distinguished Taft Union High School alumni inducted into the Hall of Fame.  The Taft Union High School Hall of Fame Committee is charged with the task of requesting and accepting inductee nominations, voting on nominees and carrying out the annual banquet.  To become a member, you must have contributed something of high value to the community or your profession and have graduated from Taft Union High School.
